Ch. 11 - Developing and Managing Products.

With engineering at its core, aside from manufacturing and selling electric car components and large-scale household batteries, Tesla, Inc. has entered the solar panel market. Tesla is continuously developing cutting-edge technology.  To meet high quality and productivity standards, Tesla is constantly enhancing its products and processes. Operational managers at Tesla conduct quality reviews of, and improve, manufacturing processes regularly.

Ch. 5. - Developing a Global Vision

Tesla charging stations, once scarce, today can be found around the country in large numbers. Global Vision: starting November 2021 Tesla started providing an adapter that can be used at any EV charging station and opened its charging stations to all other EV's  living up to its mission and vision "to accelerate the world's transition to sustainable energy."  This change in vision provided drivers  with more than 140,000 ports across 53,000 stations in the USA.  Fast chargers have grown by over 30% in Europe. Public fast chargers are available in Germany (9,200), the U.K. (7,700), Norway (6,700), France (4,500), Spain (2,600), and in the Asia/Pacific region (1,801). Numbers are set to increase by 2030. Ch. 4: The Marketing Environment

The Tesla brand has developed and catered to a niche competitive advantage, a segmented market of middle-aged white and wealthy men. Tesla aims to reach a broader demographic with its affordable Model 3. Four categories of consumers willing and able are targeted: eco-friendly, tech-savvy, entry-level luxury shoppers, and the ultimate luxury consumer.

Ch. 3 - Ethics and Social Responsibility

  Although Tesla is known for being concerned about the environment and sustainability, the company has often come under fire for failing to commit to its ethical and social responsibility pledge fully by neglecting to provide the EPA with a fair report of its pollution emission. The EPA fined the California Giga factory several times in the past few years, and the company was cited and fined 33 times for violations by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
