Although Tesla is known for being concerned about the environment and sustainability, the company has often come under fire for failing to commit to its ethical and social responsibility pledge fully by neglecting to provide the EPA with a fair report of its pollution emission. The EPA fined the California Giga factory several times in the past few years, and the company was cited and fined 33 times for violations by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
